This story has been updated to reflect when administrators and staff within the Picayune School District should report on Monday.

All three school districts within Pearl River County will be closed this week.
Pearl River County Superintendent Alan Lumpkin said that he was asked by the other superintendents to announce that a meeting was held to determine the need to close schools for the week and that all three superintendents came to the conclusion to close the schools from March 16-20.
The superintendents will convene before each subsequent week to determine the need for additional closures.
Picayune Superintendent Dean Shaw and Assistant Superintendent Walt Esslinger said that administrators in the Picayune School District are asked to attend a meeting at 8 a.m. Monday in the Board of Trustees boardroom, and all other staff within the Picayune School District are asked to be at their respective campus at 10 a.m., unless otherwise notified by their supervisor, to receive further instruction.
