Funeral Services for James Traylor Harris, age 76, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, September 9, 2019, will be held Friday, September 13, 2019, at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Megan Becnel and Rev. Lisa Pridmore will officiate the service.

A native of Crossville, AL, he was an accomplished pianist and Music Director at Trinity United Methodist Church. Jim loved to teach and motivate anyone who was interested in the art of music. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Marshall Harris and Ina Belle Traylor Harris; his granddaughter, Lacey Nicole Harrington; his grandson, Raymond D. Blair,III; and his brothers, Teddy Marcus LaMunyon and Charles Garvis LaMunyon.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Jean Henry Harris; his children, James Lorin Harris, Linda (Kirk) Steinhauser, Donald (Arlene) Blair, and Joy (Sammy) Monistere; his grandchildren, Alexandra Valentina Harris, Heather Blair, Courtney Smith, Laura Sharp, Theresa Sharp, Jaycee Steinhauser, and Trevor Steinhauser; his brother, Donald Richard (Sharon) Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
