Funeral Services for Josie Mae Brown, age 104, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Holliman Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Cody Ladner will officiate the service.
A native of Derby, MS, she was a retired Hairdresser and a member of Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church. Josie Mae loved her animals, Susie and Bootsie. She was very devoted to her family and was always there for them. Josie Mae was a loving aunt, great aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Dennis Jarrell and Alice Brewer Jarrell; her brothers, Vaudie Jarrell, Marvin O.V. Jarrell, Albert Jarrell, Floyd Jarrell, James Jarrell, and Monroe Jarrell; her sisters, Lilie Jarrell Baucum, Mary Jarrell Orr, Pearl Jarrell Amacker, and Bertie Mae Jarrell Smith; and her step brother, Boyce Jarrell.
Left to cherish her memory are her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.
The family would like to thank Covenant Health and Rehab, Dr. Haidar, Rev. Prent Wheat and Rev. Scott Downes, for their loving care of Josie Mae while she was a resident.
