Funeral Services for Virginia Gail Lee, age 76 Years, of Salem Community in Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018, will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 10:00 am at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Skipper Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Elder Terry Robertson, Elder Joe Lott, Elder Brent King will officiate the service.
Virginia was born on May 5, 1942 in Eureka, CA to Lovell “Pete” and Hattie Fern Mitchell Johnson. At a young age her family moved back to their hometown in Picayune. In 1956, she met the love of her life, Jefferson Thomas Lee. They were married on December 12, 1958. This marriage produced 4 children, Jeffery Lovell, Randall Kelly, Cristen LaRon, and Darla Gayle.
She was a member of Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who loved big family gatherings and traveling with her friends.
Virginia owned and operated Classic Cuts and was a beautician for 35 years. She was an avid gardener, who was well known for her beautiful flowers and her love of antiques. Virginia enjoyed sharing her love of oil painting with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lovell “Pete” Johnson; her son, Cristen LaRon Lee; her daughter, Darla Gayle Lee; and her brother, Sidney Lovell Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Jefferson Thomas Lee, her mother, Hattie Fern Mitchell Johnson; her sons, Jeffery (Debbie) Lee, and Randall (Stacie) Lee; her daughter-in-law, Kristen (David) Anderson; 8 grandchildren, Marrissa (Brandon) Bond, Christina (Clayton) Thompson, Kyle (Hailey) Lee, Jody (Kristina) Lee, Ryan Lee, Brandon (Taylor) Lee, Jenna Lee, Mallory Lee; 10 great grandchildren, Makayla, Tori, Dillon, Dakota, Leah, DayleeAnna, Arabella, Ella, Ensley, and Cruz; her sister, Barbara (Douglas) Mooney; her brother, Mitchie Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
