Shirley Marie Pomelow

Graveside Funeral Services for Shirley Marie Pomelow, age 80, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, will be held Wednesday, July  25, 2018, at 12:30 pm at McNeese Cemetery, 1.3 miles East on Hwy 10 from intersection of Hwy 10 and Hwy 62 (Sheridan, La.).

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in McNeese Cemetery, Sheridan, LA,  under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Shad Kennedy will officiate the service.

A native of Woolmarket, MS, she was a Homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Carpenter and Alma Miley Carpenter; her husband, Carlton Walter Pomelow; and her brother, Robert Carpenter.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Walter Aaron Pomelow and Susan Marie Howard; her grandchildren, Aaron Pomelow, Karla Renee Pomelow, and Forest Michael Howard; her great-grandchildren, Ryland Alexander Pomelow, Bethany Noel Pomelow, Caleb Michael Pomelow, and Kaidence Isabella Pomelow; her brother, Hamp Shelton Carpenter; several nieces and nephews, and friends.
