Let not your heart be troubled:  John 14:1-3

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Alex Gray, 65, who departed his earthly journey on April 15, 2018 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Robert Alex Gray was born on November 9, 1952 in Picayune, Mississippi to the late Mr. Roman R. Gray and Isabelle Bettis Gray.  He was the oldest of three children born into this union. Robert was a smart young man that really enjoyed school.

He graduated from George Washington Carver High School, Picayune High School year of 1970.

After high school he left for Gulfport, Mississippi; and became a certified welder working at several businesses along the Mississippi Gulf Coast to include Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

He really loved the Mississippi Gulf Coast and made Gulfport his home. He met and married the late Phyllis Williams Gray and to this union two children were born. Later in life he married the late Dorothy Gray. He was preceded in death by his father, Roman Gray; brother, John Gray; son, Robert Gray, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Kizzie Williams and two grandchildren, Montay and a daughter of Gulfport, Mississippi; stepmother, Beverly Gray; five brothers, Jeffery Gray, Al Gray, Brent (Michelle) Gray, Dexter (Jatonne) Gray and Montray Gray; two sisters, Patricia McQueen and Wanda Beasley. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special friends.

Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
