Relay for Life of Pearl River County will be hosting its inaugural Adult Prom fundraiser on April 28.

Lisa Lee, Relay for Life of Pearl River County organizer, said the theme for the evening is “Purple Rain” and will incorporate an 80’s theme. Attendees are encouraged to dressed in 80’s fashion.

The night’s entertainment will be provided by Cooperhill Entertainment, Lee said.

At the end of the evening, participants will vote for a prom king and queen.

Lee said it will be a great night for adults to take their minds off of their responsibilities.

“It’s going to be a blast. We would love to have fun with these adults and see them get involved in doing some crazy prom things usually seen at high school proms,” Lee said.

Tickets for the event are $35 per person and can be purchased at the First National Bank branch on West Canal, at Bank Plus on Memorial Boulevard or from Lee.

Proceeds from the event will fund Relay for Life activities and will be donated to the American Cancer Society, Lee said.

The event will take place at the Sun Roamers RV Park Clubhouse from 8 p.m. to midnight.
