Lakeshore of Picayune will be teaming up with the Pearl River County SPCA to help animals find a forever home this holiday season.
Lakeshore of Picayune will host its first holiday paws sale and adoption event Saturday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lakeshore of Picayune General Manager Clint Favre said the dealership will pay for half of all adoption fees for anyone who adopts a new pet during the holidays.
For those not interested in adopting a new pet but want to help the animal shelter, from Monday, Dec. 11 to Saturday, Dec. 16, Lakeshore of Picayune will accept donations for the PRC SPCA.
Donations of interest include paper products, food and treats for dogs and cats, cleaning supplies and blankets, Favre said.
According to previous coverage, the PRC SPCA shelters over 60 dogs and cats on average. The animal shelter holds fundraisers throughout the year in order to provide animals with the appropriate care they require.
“This event will be a great way to help the community find a new pet from the animal shelter and I hope many people will come out and visit us,” Favre said.
Lakeshore is lcoated at 251 Frontage Rd. in Picayune.
