John Walton Adams, Sr., age 86, of McNeill, Mississippi passed away Monday, November 13, 2017.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Carriere Cemetery.

Mr. Adams was a resident of Pearl River County since 1984. He was a maintenance mechanic at Kaiser Aluminum, and training union director. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere, a deacon, and a member of the Gideons.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Havard Adams of McNeill; two sons, John W. Adams, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and Steven A. Adams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two daughters, Dawn Triplett of Selmer, Tennessee, and Amber F. Lee of Payne Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Adams, Lacey Faith Adams, and Christing L. Parker; great-grandchildren, Paige Parker, and Troy Parker, Jr.; great-great-grandchild, Rayliese Boone Williams.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Hazel Adams; and all siblings.
