Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a suspicious death brought to their attention after being asked to conduct a welfare check on the resident of a home on Newman Road outside of Poplarville.
Tuesday night investigators served an arrest warrant on 60-year-old Steven Stuart, of Ridge Crest Estate in Long Beach for murder, said Chief Investigator Marc Ogden.
Identification of the deceased is pending notification of next of kin.
