The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Picayune man after he was indicted for secretly photographing a juvenile for lewd purposes.
Eugene Byron Hornke, 37, of 10215 Rivendale Way, was arrested by the Picayune Police Department on November 29, 2016 after a complainant alleged he had been caught filming her daughter while she was changing, Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.
Officers stated that when they met with the complainant, she was crying hysterically and holding a phone in her hand that allegedly belonged to Hornke and contained several videos of her 15-year-old daughter, Magri said.
The complainant said the videos were filmed through the daughter’s bedroom window while she was changing clothes, Magri said.
Hornke was found sitting on the front porch by the complainant who said she demanded he turn his phone over to her, Magri said.
After obtaining a search warrant for the phone, detectives recovered four videos allegedly recorded within two days of the reported incident. Hornke was arrested on November 29, 2016 for four counts of secretly photographing for lewd purposes, Magri said.
He was later indicted and then arrested by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department on June 23, arrest records show.
