Pharmacies and government offices alike closed for Memorial Day

Monday, many government offices, pharmacies and other businesses will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
All city and county offices in both Picayune and Poplarville will be closed Monday and resume normal business hours Tuesday, May 30. Garbage pickup will not be affected.
In Picayune, both Winn-Dixie locations, on Highway 11 and Highway 43, will be open Monday during regular business hours. Claiborne Hill will also be open during normal business hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Some of the city’s pharmacies, such as Picayune Drug Co., City Rexall Drug, Fred’s Westside and CVS will be closed Monday.
Both Walgreens locations, on Highway 11 and Memorial Boulevard, will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. However, only the pharmacy located on Highway 11 will be open Monday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Walgreens website states.
In Poplarville, Ramey’s grocery store will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Boone’s pharmacy in Poplarville will also be open Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Senior Center of South Pearl River County and the Pearl River County Library System will both be closed.
