Memorial services for Alvin William Johnston, 75, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Deacon Doug McNair will officiate the service.
A native of New Orleans, La., he was a carpenter and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Alvin was a loving husband, father, Pawpaw, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William David Johnston and Lucille Langston Johnston Hollis; his step father, Aubrey Hollis; his brother, John Johnston; and his sister, Whilmena Ulschak.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Gwendolyn Martin Johnston; his sons, Christopher (Holly) Johnston and Alvin William Johnston, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Cheyenne Johnston, Lance Johnston, and Regan Johnston; and his nephews, David (Alex) Johnston and William “Billy” Johnston.
