The Life Celebration for Mr. Samuel Morgan:

Samuel Morgan completed his earthly journey to begin his heavenly transition on January 13, 2017.
Samuel Morgan truly set the greatest example of being a great father, friend, uncle and many other titles. He lived with truth, honesty, kindness, discipline, laughter, self-respect, intelligence, and morals. Samuel would help anyone he could within his ability. He told the funniest jokes that would have you crying for him to stop. He was loved by so many. Words can’t express how much he will be missed.
Samuel was born on September 17, 1943 to parents Ollie and Jessie Morgan in Poplarville, Miss. and to this union 14 children were born — 7 boys and 7 girls. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife and life partner Nora Morgan; four children, Min. Samuel Morgan (Anika) of Gautier, Miss., Deveri Powell (Charles), Lahoma Morgan (Antonio), Richard Morgan (Blueth) all of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Jessie Howard Morgan, Lyman Morgan, and Charles Morgan; one sister, Sadie Bailey; eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be as follows. His wake will be held on January 20, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gateway Baptist Church, 1130 W. Main Ave., Lumberton, Miss. 39455. Funeral services will be held the next day on January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, 412 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Poplarville, Miss. 39470. Viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be on January 23, 2017 at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave., Biloxi, Miss. 39531. Officiating pastor is Harold Spann of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
