PRC look to get 2 wins in a row for first time this season

Coming off a much needed victory on Friday, Pearl River Central High School achieved its first district victory of the season, gaining momentum for this Friday against an opponent still looking for its first district win, West Harrison High School.
After winning its first game, the Hurricanes spiraled drastically, going on a six-game losing streak while scoring an average of 11.6 points.
West Harrison has its work cut out, as they face a spontaneous Blue Devil offense that can score repeatedly against unprepared defenses.
Unlike most teams in the state, PRC has a handful of weapons that share snaps. Running backs Michael Tatman, Louis Reece and Diante Lenoir all have at least 3 touchdowns and have logged in 300 yards this season. Quarterback Wyatt Davis adds even more pressure to opposing defenses scoring three touchdowns of his own while throwing eight this season.
Reading these running backs’ statistics on paper is one thing, but seeing their diverse style of running is another. With the shiftiness of Lenoir, the clinical football experience of Tatman and the power of Reece, PRC can fool defenses and switch the script multiple times in a single game.
Although the Hurricanes are a young team, it is usually around this time of the year where underclassmen begin to mature.
This change of attitude can be lethal to opponents, especially since West Harrison has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. The Blue Devils find themselves in a sticky situation, as the team wants to build momentum of its own and win consecutive games for the first time this season.
The 3-4 (1-2 district) Blue Devils host the 1-6 (0-3) Hurricanes for PRC’s homecoming on Friday. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
