Two Picayune residents have been charged with a shooting along Interstate 20 said to be a road rage incident.
Brett Davis, 29, is currently in the custody of the Biloxi Police Department, said Sgt. Arnie Palmer. Biloxi Police were notified by the U.S. Marshals Service of Davis’ whereabouts in Biloxi, leading Palmer to the suspect.
“We found him walking down the road where Popps Ferry Road and Pass Road meet. We identified him properly and he complied throughout the arrest without retaliation,” said Palmer.
According to the Associated Press, an attempted-murder warrant for Davis was issued following an alleged road-rage shooting that occured on I-20 near the Airport Road exit in Pearl on Wednesday.
The AP story states the victim was struck by a bullet above the eye during Wednesday’s incident, but was able to give information to officers with the Pearl Police Department. The victim is currently in a stable condition, but his identity is still unknown.
Davis’ vehicle was described as metallic gold in color with Pearl River County license plate. The AP story states that a second white male occupied the vehicle as well.
The second suspect, identified as Andrew Koby Walters, 27, of Picayune was taken in custody by the Biloxi Police Department around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according news reports.
Both of the suspects are being held in the Harrison County jail.
Attempts by the Item to contact the Pearl Police Department for information on this case were not returned by press time Thursday.
