Over the weekend, officers with the Poplarville Police Department arrested three more suspects in connection with a burglary on February 29 at Poor Boys ATV and Repair Shop.
The initial incident occurred at 1:29 a.m. when the alarm was activated at the business, Poplarville Police Chief Butch Raby said last week. Upon arrival, officers noticed an open rear door and a black crowbar on the ground outside. They also observed two book bags filled with what was believed to be burglary tools inside the building, Raby said in a previous interview.
The owner did not report anything missing or tampered with, Raby said.
On that same day, officers arrested 19-year-old Trey Turner of 604 Gumpond Deall Rd. He was charged with commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools, Raby said last week.
Saturday, officers arrested 19-year-old Stone Blossman of 26 Checkerboard Drive, Poplarville and one juvenile, Raby said Monday. Both were charged with commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools, he said.
Sunday, officers arrested 18-year-old Lane Price of 18 Cotton Lane, Poplarville, Raby said.
Price was also charged with commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools, the police chief said.
“I would like to thank my officers who worked on this case,” Raby said. “It was a department effort. They did a good job and I’m proud of them.”
