A local woman missing for more than a week was found by local law enforcement on Thursday.
Last week, the Item reported that 32-year-old Kellie Williams, who suffers from mild schizophrenia and dissociative disorder, was reported missing on Monday, March 9 by her sister and was last seen at the Margaret Reed Crosby Memorial Library on Goodyear Boulevard.
The Picayune Police Department, including the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Department and Slidell Police Department, searched for Williams.
On Thursday at 2 p.m., Picayune Police Department detectives located Williams in Louisiana.
“She’s safe and sound,” Picayune Police Department’s Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.
The man, Nate Narajo, who was previously reported to have been in contact with Williams via Facebook, had no involvement in the case, Magri said.
