Larry C. Ladner, 77, of Poplarville, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in Memorial Hospital, Gulfport.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Steep Hollow Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Marshall and Rev. Larry Romack officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith (Old Steep Hollow) Cemetery.

Mr. Ladner was born July 21, 1937 in Kiln, Mississippi and was a retired Inspector with Conalco Aluminum in Gulfport. He served as Justice Court Judge from 1968 to 1972 in Hancock County. Larry will be sorely missed.

Family members include his wife, Danny Sue Peterson Ladner; one daughter, Kamika (Douglas) Dedeaux; one brother, Freddie Bobby (Clydell) Ladner; two sisters-in-law, Nell Ladner, Faye Ladner; three grandchildren, Lauren (Nicholas) Seal, Colby D. (Kayla) Dedeaux, Alisha Dedeaux; four great-grandchildren, Cohen Seal, Kross Seal, Kenadie Dedeaux, and Kolyn Dedeaux.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett A. and Cora Shiyou Ladner, Sr.; two brothers, Emmett A. Ladner, Jr. and Vernon Ladner.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday at the church.
