But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
For of such is the kingdom of heaven. — Matthew 19:14
Ms. Nancy Talacey Cooper, along with her precious baby boy Jeremiah Elijah Cooper Parker, joined Our Lord in Heaven on April 26, 2014. Joining them on their heavenly journey was a special friend, Mr. Edward Lewis Parker.
Affectionately known as “Lacey”, she was born on January 17, 1985 and Jeremiah was born on September 26, 2013. She was a native of Lumberton, Miss., where she united with the Morning Star Baptist Church and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Holder. She later moved to Picayune, Miss., where she graduated from Picayune Memorial High School in May 2003.
Lacey was a young lady that was full of life. She was adventurous, out-going, and full of laughter. Jeremiah was the answer to her prayers and she waited for his birth with joyful expectations. When the Lord blessed her with this bundle of joy, she instantly became a devoted Mother and loved him with all her heart.
Lacey was preceded in death by: her father, Mr. Mitchell Holder; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Mae Cooper.
Remaining to celebrate their life and memories are: her dedicated Mother, Ms. Patricia Ann Cooper; six brothers: Antoine and DeKoda Cooper, Jarvis and Spencer Holder, Jeffery Smith, and Markell Jones; four sisters: Starla Cooper, Drana Smith, Jasehnes Ramsey and LaToya Thompson; two special people who meant a lot to her, Mr. J. L. Breland and Mr. Thomas Young, Sr.; three special friends: Keuna Thompson, Tokiwa Gordon, and Charmaine Washington. A host of aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends will also cherish fond memories of Lacey and Jeremiah. Although they have passed gently into the arms of Jesus, they will dwell in our hearts forever.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Holder will officiate at the service and the Rev. Donald L. Parker is Pastor. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in Lumberton, Miss., Big Quarters Cemetery.
Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
