Funeral Services for Mike Harris, 80, of McNeill, Miss., who passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, will be held Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, and also on Friday April 25, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Billy Galloway and the Rev. Clark Stewart will officiate the service.

A native of McNeill, Miss., he was a Dairy Farmer and a member of Central Baptist Church. Mike was President of the Board of Directors for the Pearl River Central Water Association. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and also was an avid reader. Mike was a hard worker and will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Hurshel Irwin Harris Sr. and Leona King Harris; his sister, Hilda Nelson; and his brother, H.I. Harris.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Ruby Nell Thrash Harris; his daughter, Marie Whitfield and husband Kent; and his sons Irwin Harris, and Michael Harris; his grandson, Nathan Whitfield and wife Amber, and granddaughter, Kelcey Whitfield; his great-grandson, Anson Britt Whitfield; and his brother, Samuel “Butch” Harris.
