The Picayune Police Department received Officer Chase Richardson’s resignation as of Monday midday, said Jeremy Magri, assistant to the chief.

Richardson, 26, was arrested on Friday for felony stalking charges, said Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Chief Shane Tucker.

The sheriff’s department announced that their investigation of the felony stalking charge is ongoing, Tucker said.
