Robert (Bobby) Richard Marcotte

Robert (Bobby) Richard Marcotte, at the age of 80, was called home by our loving God, Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home of 12 years in Carriere, Miss. He was born October 30, 1932, and raised in New Orleans, La., where he was an avid outdoors man and world class skeet shooter. He was loved and admired by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at the South Louisiana Gun Club, Fairfield Road (off River Rd.), in Bridge City, La., on May 18, 2013. 25 Target memorial skeet shoot will begin at 11 a.m., to benefit the 4-H Youth Shooting Program, followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. His family will have a private burial at a later date.
He is survived by: his daughter, Darlene M. Rodgers; son-in-law, Fred “Tommy” Rodgers; daughter, Diane S. Thorpe; son, Victor Strickland; his step-son, Michael Phelps; his six grandchildren, Richard Marcotte, Robert Luccia, Ryan Rodgers, Marietta Heffner, Ashton Lee Strickland and Shelby Strickland; and his six great-grandchildren, Hannah, Patrick, Austin, Thomas, Sarah, and James.

A special thank you to his granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Marcotte; his nurse, Ruby; and nurses aid, Carrie. You all have been a blessing to him and his family in our time of need.
