Funeral services for Luther Dallas Penton, 89, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, were held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

There was no visitation.

Burial was held in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. The Rev. Walt Barnes officiated the service.

A native of Millard, Miss., he was a Crane Operator and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Luther Penton and Velma Spiers Penton; his granddaughter, Danika Penton Woodard; and his sister, Hazel McCraney.

Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Mary Alice Evans Penton; his children, Trish Penton, and Dallas Penton and his wife Peggy; his two grandchildren, Colby Sparkman and Even Penton; and his six great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Madison, Emori, Aubri, Kennedi, and Ory.
