Betty Jean DeVaughn was born to the late Solomon (Saul) and Lillie Mae DeVaughn of Picayune, MS. She retired after 20 years of services from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum Convention Center. She passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Brother Solomon (Saul) DeVaughn; her mother, Sister Lillie Mae DeVaughn; a sister, Earnestine Benton; brothers: Earl DeVaughn, Fred Charles DeVaughn, Sammy Lee DeVaughn, and Saulee DeVaughn.

She is survived by: a daughter, Rose Marie Trotter (Robert) of Catahoula, Miss.; sons: Rolen Michael DeVaughn (Sandra) of Gulfport; and Robert Bobby DeVaughn (Cassandra) of Delaware; brothers: Ollie DeVaughn of Rhode Island, and Allen DeVaughn of White Plains, NY; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at First United Gospel Assembly, 2000 28th St. in Gulfport.
