Funeral services for Richard Don Burge, 66, of Carriere, who passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Picayune will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Holliman Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Connie Ray Jarrell, the Rev. Leo Burge and the Rev. Stanley Talley will officiate at the service.

A native of Carriere, he was self-employed and a member of Mill Creek Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be sadly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Red Burge and Bessie Spiers Burge; one brother, Willie G. Burge; and one sister, Mary Carl Ford.

Survivors include: his wife, Bunnie Mitchell Burge of Carriere; his children, Randy and Debbie Burge, Richie and Christian Burge, and Shawn and Deborah Burge; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Blannie and Martha Sue Burge.
