Edward “Earl” Stuart

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Westlawn Baptist Church for Edward “Earl” Stuart, 85, of Picayune, who passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his home.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Westlawn Baptist Church.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. James Reeves and Bro. J.R. Hartfield will officiate at the service.
A native of Purvis, Miss., he was a Brick Layer and a member of Westlawn Baptist Church. Earl was a WWII Navy Veteran who participated in the D-Day Invasion in Normandy, France. He was Past Master of the Moses Cook Lodge. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather who will be truly missed by all. Earl was a role model and hero to anyone he met.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie Monroe Stuart and Alice Mae Campbell Stuart; his son, Stephen Stuart; and his great-granddaughter, Miranda Richardson.
Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Lorena Hartfield Stuart of Picayune; his sons, Charles Stuart, Joe Stuart, David Stuart and Robert Stuart; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren.
