I, Judge Prentiss Harrell, am announcing my candidacy for re-election for Circuit Judge, Place 2. For the past four years I have served as your Circuit Judge for Jeff Davis, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion and Pearl River counties.
During that time I have been tough on crime, protecting you, your family and community. I have also sought to administer justice with certainty and compassion. I established the first drug court in the district providing those who qualify with a chance for a new life and to become a productive citizen in our state. Not only has the drug court impacted the lives of the families involved but it has also had a major financial impact. The Drug Court in the 15th Circuit Court District has saved taxpayers almost $3 million a year in prison costs.
Becoming your Circuit Judge has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
It has allowed me to be involved in improving the judicial system and making a difference in the communities I serve.
— Four years Circuit Judge 15th District.

— Served as President, Seven-member law firm.
— Practicing attorney 18 years.
— Adjunct instructor of Business Law, William Carey University.

— Member South Central Mississippi Bar Association.
I have two children and six grandchildren. I am a member, Sunday school teacher and former trustee of Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. I am a former president and member of the Greater Hattiesburg Homebuilder’s Association and former member of the Area Development Partnership.
I sincerely ask you to allow me to continue to work for you and seek justice in the 15th Circuit Court District, Place 2. I have the experience, maturity and desire to serve.
Please vote to re-elect Prentiss Harrell, Tuesday, Nov. 2.
