A Nov. 2 trial date has been set for suspects facing federal drug charges for allegedly operating a marijuana distribution center out of the Scott County area.

Eleven suspects have been charged with drug trafficking, and authorities have seized more than $1 million in marijuana, cash and assets.

Authorities say 18 wheelers were used to transport marijuana between Scott County and Texas. The alleged ringleader is Jessie Jerome Hall of Newton.

Richard Rehfeldt, Hall’s attorney at an arraignment last week, couldn’t be reached for comment on Sunday.
