Arthur Woodrow “Woody” Jones, 66, of Palestine, Texas passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 in Richardson, Texas. Interment services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Beulah Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, Miss.

Woody was born in Ruleville, Miss. on July 22, 1943. He was a retired law enforcement officer from Ft. Worth, Texas, Yazoo City, Miss., and Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Pascagoula, Miss. He was also a constable of Yazoo City.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Emitt and Lillian Jones; his sisters, Sue Jones and Linda Morgan; and a brother Robert Jones.

Survivors include: his loved son, Jamie and wife Renee’ Jones of Wylie, Texas; four brothers, Houston and J.W. Jones of Palestine, Texas, Tommy Jones of Ft. Worth, and Doyle Jones of Yazoo City. He also had 2 grandchildren, Hannah Jones and Cole Jones.
