Another slot became empty on the Wheel of Justice Wednesday when investigators pulled in another wanted drug suspect.
Picayune Narcotics Detectives saw and arrested Georgia Sloan, 19, of 910 Cayten St. She was charged with sale of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within 1,500 feet of a church or school, according to a press release from the Picayune Police Department.
Sloan originally was going to be one of the eight mystery suspects on the Wheel of Justice based on evidence collected in an investigation, but narcotics investigators were able to locate and serve the arrest warrant for her immediately.
Detective Mike Odom said that he was glad to have Sloan in custody.
“This should serve as a warning to others, the Wheel of ‘Drug Enforcement’ Justice is always spinning,” Odom said in the release.
Sloan’s bond will be set Friday.
Deputy Chief David Ervin said the department’s investigators are working hard to slow down the distribution and manufacture of methamphetamine.
The department encourages community residents to help them by reporting odd chemical smells that might be associated with the production of methamphetamine.
