A jury in Prentiss has returned a guilty verdict in the trial of 23-year-old Brandon Sullivan, who was accused of killing his 72-year-old grandmother, Mary Lou Sullivan, on Dec. 6, 2006.
Brandon Sullivan was sentenced Friday to life in prison by Judge Prentiss Harrell.
Mary Lou Sullivan was found lying face down on the floor of her Jefferson Davis County home by her son, Brandon Sullivan’s father.
Jefferson Davis County Coroner Greg Blackwell said at the time an autopsy determined the cause of Mary Lou Sullivans death was blunt force trauma to the head.
