The Coast Guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for a woman who reportedly went overboard from a cruise ship based in Mobile.
The Coast Guard says a 50-year-old woman was reported overboard by the Carnival Holiday shortly at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday. The ship was located about 75 miles southwest of Pensacola, Fla., at the time.
Carnival Corp. declined immediate comment, and the Coast Guard didn’t provide additional details on what happened.
The Holiday carries 1,452 passengers on cruises to the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s due back in Mobile on Saturday.
