A Jackson man charged with murder in a 2008 slaying has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty in Hinds County Circuit Court.
Twenty-four-year-old Benjamin Clark had been charged with capital murder for breaking into an apartment in February 2008 and killing Henry Ledlow II.
He pleaded guilty Thursday to murder.
Authorities say Ledlow was stabbed 10 times in the back and neck and later died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
After the attack, prosecutors say Clark took Caroline Cockrell, Ledlow’s fiancee, to Alabama with him. Tuscaloosa police arrested Clark at a hotel.
