Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10 a.m. in McDonald Funeral Home for Jo Ann Watkins, 51, of Picayune who passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Picayune.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Wayne Rice will officiate at the service.

Ms. Watkins was a life long resident of Picayune and retired in November of 2007 as Director of the Pearl River County Health Department. She was member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed working as a fund raiser for various charities. She was an avid cook and loved Karaoke with family and friends.

Survivors include: daughter, Amanda A. Garrison and husband, Chuck Garrison of Picayune; mother, Evelyn Reese of Picayune; son, Jordan Watkins of Picayune; brother, David Reese and wife, Stacey Holbrook Reese

of Waveland, Miss.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
