HEADLAND, Ala. — Emily Marie Mercado Allemand, a resident of Headland, passed away Thursday night, March 19, 2009, at her home. She was 77.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 in the Flat Top Unity Baptist Church in Picayune, Miss., with Brother Randy Shaw officiating. Entombment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, La. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Allemand was born and reared in New Orleans, La., where she lived all her lifetime before moving to Headland in 2005. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Allemand was preceded in death by: her father, Louis Mercado; her mother, Bertiled Delaide Boudreaux Mercado; her husband, Noland Joseph Allemand, Sr.; a son, Eugene Joseph Allemand, Sr.; and also a sister, Gloria Mobley.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Rose Castro, Picayune, Miss.; Ludia Hubbard, Kiln, Miss; Barbara Bordelon and husband, Blaine Bordelon, Headland; two sons, Harry Louis Allemand and wife, Shelley Allemand, Metairie, La.; Noland Joseph Allemand, Jr., Carriere, Miss; two sisters, Sila Sevin, Marrero, La.; Mary Oates, Desallemands, La; thirteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
