The federal trial of four people accused last May of running an illegal prescription ring in Biloxi has been rescheduled for July 6 in Gulfport.
Dr. Thomas Trieu, Dr. Victoria Van, office manager Richard Trieu and pharmacist Nick Tran had been scheduled for trial on Feb. 2. All four are free on bond.
According to court administrators, U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola delayed the trial because Thomas Trieu recently hired new attorneys to assist with his case.
Federal agents arrested the defendants on May 21, 2008. They’re accused of illegally dispensing large amounts of prescription narcotics through a doctor’s office and pharmacy in Biloxi.
