The physical plant director at Pearl River Community College has been placed on leave following his indictment on federal fraud charges.
PRCC’s board of trustees voted Tuesday to direct the school’s president to place Clint Tapper Jr. on administrative leave.
Tapper was indicted in June on federal criminal charges for home-repair fraud in Hancock County.
State officials said his case involves three Hurricane Katrina-related grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration totaling more than $193,400.
School officials said Tapper was placed on leave with pay until Dec. 9.
His trial date has been set for Dec. 1 in federal court.
