Pearl River County prepares for Jerry

Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Bobby Strahan announced Friday afternoon that the county Emergency Operations Center is fully staffed and prepared for any emergency that should arise from Tropical Storm Jerry.
Jerry is expected to bring 30 to 40 mile per hour winds, about two to three inches of rain and the possibility of tornadoes to the county.
If the need arises county shelters will be opened with security in place, the release states. Special needs shelters will be opened at the Pearl River Community College in Poplarville.
