Michael David Barnes, 23, of Poplarville, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 in Poplarville.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Danny Johnson officiating at the service. Visitation will be Friday, July 27 from 6-9 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Michael was born in Picayune and was a self-employed contractor and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by: his father, Noll Barnes of Carriere; his mother, Dawn Cooper of Poplarville; step-father, Billy Cooper of Poplarville; one brother, Vance Williams of Lafayette, La.; three sisters, Nicole Williams and Stacy Cooper, both of Poplarville, and Colleen Stracener of Tennessee; paternal grandmother, Madella Barnes of Picayune; and maternal grandparents, David and Bettye Lossett of Carriere.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Otis Barnes and maternal grandmother, Betty Crosby.
