Katherine “Kay“ Joyner, 87, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Hattiesburg Convalescent Center in Hattiesburg.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at the Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Arlis Grice officiating at the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, May 5 at Picayune Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Kay, a former resident of Picayune, was a secretary, a member of the Ladies Art League and a member of Goodyear Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, William “Billy” Jenkins of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Claudia Bissette of Picayune; three grandchildren, Robert W. Brooks, Jr., Robert Jenkins and Michelle Gibbins; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony Baker, Zachary Brooks, and Angela Jenkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Gussie Reeves and one son, Robert W. Brooks, Sr.
