Nellie B. Lumpkin

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Nellie B. Lumpkin, 81, of Picayune, who died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in Poplarville.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune.

The Rev. Russell Crowe will officiate at the service.

A native of Livingston, Tenn., she was a retired school Cafeteria Worker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by two daughters: Verene Briggs and Janice Lenoir.

Survivors include: her husband: Fred E. Lumpkin of Picayune; two daughters, Charlotte Bennett of Picayune, and Beverly McDaniel of Picayune; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Lewis of Holly Hill, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
