PICAYUNE — Above, construction of the new company at Picayune’s Industrial Park is nearing completion. The company, Alliance, was expected to begin operations in August, but construction continues. When it opens, the company will produce sand products for oil drilling companies. Walls have begun to be erected at the Nicholson Elementary Multipurpose building, at right. When complete the building will be used for school and community functions.
