PICAYUNE — Special to the Item

My name is Angela Bynum. I am the Children’s Pastor at Resurrection Life Ministries. I have been ministering in Children’s Ministry for over 19 years. I am also a Board Certified Belief Therapist and I provide counseling for children and adults.

I will be speaking at the women’s life group “The Body, Soul & Spirit of a Virtuous Woman” at R.L.M. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011. My topic will be “Walking on water in my Prada high heels.” As women we all deal with juggling many things at one time, crying children, financial dilemmas, career demands, cleaning house and so much more. And then in the midst of just managing today’s demands real life trauma hits, and you cry out “I can’t do this.” Then the Voice of Truth says, “Walk by faith and not by sight. I am with you!” And like Peter you have to jump out the boat and cross the open sea of life situations and over high waves of fear and doubt and run into the arms of the “Great Rescuer” Jesus. It is so easy for life circumstances to look impossible and our emotions to be all over the map. However, Jesus came that we may speak to the storm and say, “Peace, be still” and choose to put our faith in Jesus and not in our situation.

I will be sharing how not to be ruled by our emotions but how to be ruled by the Spirit and live a victorious life in Christ! I will also be sharing testimonies from my life and how God brought me through each one and how He will do the same for you! Come join us and experience a night of the Lord encouraging you in your faith as He breathes life and joy into all areas of your life. Come prepared to laugh and cry!
