OLIVE BRANCH — A Marshall County inmate who escaped from court after he was sentenced to nine years for burglary has been captured near Olive Branch.

Latrell Wilson, 20, was arrested Wednesday on Miss. 305 at a roadblock set up by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Bill Rasco said his office received information that the suspect would be a passenger in a car traveling through Olive Branch. The driver of the car was not arrested.

Rasco said Wilson was trying to make his way to Memphis when he was captured.

Wilson was convicted of burglary charges Tuesday in Marshall County Circuit Court.

When Wilson heard his sentence, he bolted from the courthouse in Holly Springs.
