JACKSON — Entergy Mississippi says the typical residential bill will drop 11 percent between January and March after approval the company’s quarterly fuel adjustment.

Entergy announced Monday that the Mississippi Public Service Commission approved the fuel adjustment.

Entergy says the rate adjustment means typical homes using 1,000 kilowatt hours a month will pay about $79.50 for the first quarter of 2010 compared to $89 for the first quarter in 2009.

Entergy Mississippi Inc. provides electricity to more than 433,000 customers in 45 counties, including most of DeSoto County.
