COLUMBUS — Authorities have charged a Columbus man with “doctor shopping” to obtain thousands of Adderall pills over a two-year period.
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics arrested 30-year-old Shane A. Bazzell after a yearlong investigation.
MBN Director Marshall Fisher said a grand jury indictment charged Bazzell with four counts of obtaining Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic, by fraud.
Over a nearly two-year period, agents allege that Bazzell saw 13 health care providers and obtained more than 11,000 dosage units of Adderall in Chickasaw, Clay, Lowndes, Pontotoc and Union counties.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
