JACKSON — Disbarred McComb lawyer Dwayne Deer and his client, real estate developer James Todd Phillips, each will spend more than three years in federal prison for their participation in a scheme to acquire millions in fraudulent mortgage loans from banks.
Deer, who now lives in Biloxi, was sentenced to 37 months in prison. Phillips was sentenced to 51 months in prison.
