Jackson Co. shooting arrest
PASCAGOULA — A Franklin Creek community man has been charged with murder for the shooting death of his uncle.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd says Gerald Derrick Lander was arrested shortly after authorities arrived at the scene of the shooting in the Franklin Creek community on Monday night.
Byrd says Randy Wilson died at the scene of a gunshot wound in the abdomen.
Byrd says an argument took place between the two men, leading to the shooting.
Lander was released Tuesday on a bond of $50,000. A court date is pending.
