Sources close to the situation have indicated that East Mississippi assistant head coach and defensive coordinator William Jones has accepted the job as the new head football coach at Pearl River Community College.
Jones was a former assistant under Tim Hatten at PRCC, before leaving for EMCC several seasons ago with Buddy Stephens. The Lions won the juco national title last season.
Jones replaces Hatten, who resigned last month after 11 seasons.
